Bridal Makeup

A bridal makeup trial allows us to discuss and let me create your desired makeup look for the big day! It gives us time to connect and to work out what style of makeup will suit and work best for you. We will try different high quality products, and I will share tips and tricks on how to keep your skin in tip top condition for the big day. A trial also allows us to check your skin compatibility with products and check for any allergies. With the understanding of the style of the wedding being paramount, as an artist I will ensure you receive the makeup look you've always dreamed of.

Take a look at my bridal makeup trial prep blog post for tips to make the most of your trial!

I am a professional Bridal makeup artist covering Buckinghamshire and other surrounding counties. With a First Class Honours degree in Makeup Artistry I will ensure you receive the highest quality service & experience for your wedding make-up.

As a bridal makeup artist it is my job to make sure you feel 'a millions dollars' on your wedding day. After 3 years of extensive makeup study at university, my knowledge of photography and bridal makeup combined will provide you with weightless, long lasting makeup for your special day. It is so refreshing when discussing a desired makeup look, every bride is unique and this is enhanced through my work as an artist.

Alongside makeup I also offer a range of eyelash services, this includes classic and Russian volume eyelash extensions and LVL (lash lift volume and length). These treatments have been extremely popular among brides enhancing and creating that extra special look for the big day. The eyelash treatments last weeks after your wedding day therefore are there for you to enjoy on your honeymoon also.

* Please note I do not offer wedding hair however I can recommend other local hair stylists on request.

When should I book in for my wedding day makeup?

I only take bookings a year in advance as to not let anyone down if my plans were to change.

How far in advance should I have my bridal trial?

I suggest having a trial when you have your colour scheme and dress chosen, these details can help to shape your makeup to suit not only you but the general style of the wedding.

Some brides prefer to do the trial before paying a deposit which I completely understand, this then means the trial needs to be done ASAP to not lose the date incase of another enquiry.

On the other hand you may be confident that my style of work is exactly what you're looking for, you may choose to secure the date with a deposit first and have the trial anytime up to a month before the wedding.

To do the trial weekends are limited in peak months due to wedding bookings, in the week there is more availability. I recommend having the trial latest 1pm to check durability of the makeup.

How long does a bridal makeup trial take?

I allow 1-2 hours per person for a makeup trial.

How do I prepare for my makeup trial?

If I am coming to you please have a large table cleared next to as much natural light as possible. A high stool or chair is suitable, I will have one with me if this is not available.

Please have photos of either my previous work or other inspiration pictures to show me the style you are wanting to try for the big day, we will adapt this to you and combine this with my advice. If you are planning on having a tan on your wedding day please ensure you skin is tanned for the trial, a different skin tone will change the look completely.

Skin prep: lightly exfoliate and moisturise the night before, if you do not do this already please speak too a professional at least a month before the trial to get a good skin regime going. This will have a huge impact on how smoothly the makeup is applied and will also aid the makeup in lasting even longer.

What products do you use?

My bridal kit consists of high end premium makeup brands such as: Charlotte Tilbury, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC, Nars, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Chanel, Dior, Clinique, Lancome and many more. If you have makeup requirements please ask in advance.

How do I pay for trials/ wedding day booking?

All payments can be made via cash or bank transfer.

Are there any extra costs?

There may be an added petrol fee depending on the location of the wedding. If I need to pay and park the ticket price will be added to the final bill.
